EXCURSUS, funded in part by a grant from the MAP, will be FREE
in Pack Place at 6pm on Thursday 6/14

{Pre}Happening performance

Excursus animals took to the street for the PreHappening event. It was a really fun night. Extra special thanks to Chad Adair for the fog special effect and amazing costumes by Amanda-ray Danko. The video by Lei Han was stunning. Looking forward to April 7th!

Excursus goes for a test drive

We headed out to Carrier Park on Sunday March 11th for the first test drive of the Excursus vehicle. It was an inspiring afternoon of experimentation and collaboration.
.....of risk taking
...of surprising the afternoon picnickers and explaining our project to passers by (and the authorities)
....of sheer exhilaration and beauty!

Excursus is in motion!

Progress update:
The Excursus vehicle is almost complete - built by master woodworker Christopher Perryman. The butoh dancers are rehearsing and creating an incredible work with Sara Baird and Julie Becton Gillum. We can't wait to roll the vehicle out next week in Amboy park for a test run! Amanda-ray Danko is sewing costumes like crazy and Kimathi Moore, our musical director, is creating am amazing world of sound for our premier. See you at the ReHAppening on April 7th!
