The Media Arts Project’s mission is to support artists working in digital and new media platforms. This includes works that require the passage of time or an experiential component, such as installation, video and sound art. The MAP aims to create a dialogue around the temporal or ephemeral aspects of the art experience. The MAP promotes discussion around relational aesthetics, digital art and new media through events and opportunities for artists working in non-object-based disciplines.

Hosting and Promoting Events
Host and promote public events that encourage dialog and foster community. MAP events act as a showcase and point of contact for new media artists and increase public appreciation of new media arts and performance.

Ongoing Exchange, Collaboration & Research
Facilitate the exchange between disciplines and work towards hosting international artists for short-term residencies and programming.
