About
Constance Humphries is a dance artist and educator who works with butoh dance, performance, video, sound and costume  to create works and workshops which explore the political, spiritual and psychological potential of the self while challenging the perception of self.

Humphries has presented her performances, videos and workshops internationally, including Mexico, the US, and the UK. Her most recent projects include the Just Gather Film Festival, Edinburgh (2015) and the Arts Emergency Rescue Centre Event at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Newcastle (2015). She was awarded a residency at Experimental Studios, Newcastle (2014-15), served as curator for performance at Breeze Creatives, Newcastle (2015), and is premiering three new works at Abject Gallery, Newcastle (2016).

REVOLVE is a new venue located in the Cottonmill Studios at 122 Riverside Drive in the River Arts District. The project space is a place for where artists, writers, scholars, the creative community, and audiences can come together to foster inquiry and expression.
